Humans are natural storytellers. We even experience our lives as stories. This works well when facing difficulties that resolve quickly. There are trainable skills of attention, however, that can be strengthened through mindfulness exercises which support our ability to be present and engaged regardless of circumstances. Attentional fitness training can increase the degree to which you feel at home in your life just as it is.
This eight-week class explores a variety of strategies to strengthen your existing efforts to be present and to grow through life’s challenges. Each week you will learn and practice new exercises that you can use to develop a mature level of personal contentment.
